Electrical Fire in Shelter Island Heights House
When an electrical fire broke out in the Shelter Island home of this homeowner, fire and smoke permeated the house inside and out. After the Shelter Island Fire Department extinguished the flames, SERVPRO of The East End was called in to clean up the remaining mess. Following an event such as this homeowner experienced, there are many pieces to the puzzle of putting it all back together to 'Like it never even happened.'
Most of the furnishings were thrown away, however some of it was cleaned and stored in a pod while the rest of the house was also cleaned. Besides major damage from fire and smoke, there is damage from water being poured in by firefighters extinguishing the flames. Attic insulation was removed as was damaged sheetrock and flooring. A construction crew was then brought in to be doing post damage construction.
The homeowner was grateful for the collaboration amongst all parties in being able to save and restore their property back to being the safe, clean, healthy home they know and loved.
SERVPRO of The East End continues to be proud to play an important part in restoring and cleaning the properties of all the homeowners and businesses we serve on the East End of Long Island for them to be able to resume living their lives and running their businesses to 'Like it never even happened.'
